Abdominoplasty surgery involves a small incision with no visible scars
to flatten the abdomen by removing excess fat and skin and
tightening muscles of the abdomen wall. It could either be
carried out with local or general anaesthetics.
- Either out-patient or in-patient of few hours to 24 hours
stay in hospital depending on individual circumstances and
extent of surgery.
- The length of
abdominoplasty is one hour approximately
- Back to work: after 4 to 8 days.
The final results are conspicuous in 3 to 6 months. The stomach
is gradually flattened, and any defect will generally tone
down during this period depending obviously on the quality
of the skin and the age of the patient.
